Charlotte Readers Podcast Featured Me Reading My Blog Post on What it Was Like to Get My First Book Published
I am so excited to have my blog post, Rejection Perfection, featured on a recent episode of the Charlotte Readers Podcast. The whole episode is terrific, but my segment comes in at around 41.04 minutes if you’re short on time. Click the link above to read it. You can also listen to me reading it below
The post deals with the perils of trying to be a published author. Except for a very few of us, the process is not easy and is fraught with rejection. Not like rejection is anything to aspire to, but it has taught me the valuable lessons of perseverance and of using any valuable feedback to improve the work in question. It also taught me to be more flexible in my goals and, if I don’t achieve the first one, to change it a bit until it is achievable. In the end, my greatest lesson was to keep going because in the end, you only need one person to believe in you. Thanks so much, CRP!
