What a happy coincidence that I started writing The Rise, Fall, and Return of Sarah Mandelbaum, which is set in the 90s, before this fantastic trend of reliving and re-loving that decade.
The ‘90s, to me, was a fantastic time for music with everything from sugar pop, SKA, and grunge to soul, hip hop, and rock. But it was also a time when those perplexing CDs replaced my beloved LPs.
Kudos to commercial copywriter Bonnie Garmus for her outstanding debut novel Lessons in Chemistry, which, as I am penning this post, has been on the New York Times Bestseller List for a whopping 21 weeks!
Like Sarah, I traditionally have spent most of my life listening to classic rock like the Beatles, Traffic, Allman Brothers, Aerosmith, and The Stones.
